Just before lockdown3 hit us, we managed to squeeze in a weekend by the seaside. We decided, on a whim, to organise a campfire on the beach. There was absolutely no one around and we dug a hole in the sand, lined it with pebbles. Early that day we had stopped at a petrol station and bought wood, marshmallows and some sausages.
We took our trusted picnic basket and a picnic blanket and off we went...onto the beach...
Its that time of the year...sunset at 3pm!
It was pretty cold, probably about 4C but it was worth it!
There is something truly magic about sitting on the beach at sunset and having dinner.
We drove to the coast just under 2 hours from London to Lancing, a short trip away from Brighton.
